A must try! Amazing tacos! Amazing drinks! And they a salsa bar, can't go wrong with that!

Yummy food. Had a great time. They come around take pics. Loved the various salsas and the seafood soup.

First time enjoying the delicious fare in more than four years. The restaurant was our second stop after our 4-hour drive from Phoenix for Spring Break fun! My wife was in heaven as Rockin' Baja Lobster NEVER disappoints!

They have a great salsa bar and great customer service. A a tourist spot due to the location but still very good food. Only complaint is the prices are a bit on the high side

We needed a quick and inexpensive lunch spot for the whole family today and happened upon this place just in time for "Taco Tuesday". The tacos were delicious, ranging from $2-$3/ea. The place included a complimentary chips and salsa bar with a variety of yummy salsas. It hit the spot and didn't break the bank. Plus the atmosphere and decor was pleasing to the eye and fun for the kids.

Great food and customer service. The food was amazing. Very delicious. Highly recommend. I suggest valet parking due to limited parking in the area. There is a lot that charges $5 but it is difficult to get your car out if the lot has several cars.

Went in for appetizer and drinks. Really nice Mexican restaurant and nice size bar area. Good margaritas.

I bumped up my rating due to my last visit. Excellent service & food yet again. Consistently great efforts by the staff. The live music is awesome & adds a nice touch to the atmosphere.

Awesome service as usual. Viviana was our amazing server in the bar area while we watched the playoffs. Food was delicious and the live music on weekends is an added bonus. Thanks again guys!!

Great food with a fun atmosphere and happy staff. A casual setting with both indoor and outdoor seating and live music on the weekends. I love this place and their food... lots and lots of seafood choices. It's a great alternative to other more traditional Mexican restaurants in old town San Diego. Insider tip: this is a great spot for happy hour or dinner if you're from out of town. They have a large menu, big dishes and fun seafood buckets that you can share. Tacos are excellent here especially the shrimp and lobster tacos!

Everyone was nice and checked on us often.. Food was great and came quickly.. Would definitely go again and refer my friends.

Our server was really sweet and friendly, and our food was pretty tasty. You get a lot, so make sure you share a plate with someone. One of the hostesses was not very friendly, but other than that, we enjoyed our visit.

The golden sombrero was amazing. A ton of food! You get your monies worth. Great and friendly atmosphere, waiters and waiters were outstanding! Be sure to visit this place next time you're in San Diego!

The food and cocktails were great. The Rib Eye Tacos were awesome. It wasn't very busy but it had a good vibe. Service started out good but went down hill. Our server disappeared and it took 20 minutes to get our bill. Maybe an off night? It was a bit over priced but we'd go back again.

I have been to their other locations and I feel like this was the best one. They have a few different things on the menu compared to the other locations. Plenty of seating, reservations are accepted and they even had a live performance on Friday! I would suggest trying to get there before 8, after that the service is a bit slow and can be a teeny annoying when want another drink or the check ...lol

This is a very expensive Mexican restaurant that isn't really very Mexican. My family likes it and we go once a year or so, mainly because it's open on Xmas. If you're a tourist in Old Town trying to decide between Fred's and Cafe Coyote and here, you should go here. If you're a local you're probably not in Old Town and you probably know better places to go that cost a lot less money, unless it's a holiday...

GLUTEN FREE BEWARE- Went in for dinner tonight and before ordering our drinks I asked the waiter if there were gluten free options and was told I could have any seafood just stay away from chicken or steak. I ordered grilled shrimp, fries and coleslaw. I received boiled shrimp, corn, rice and beans. I was then told I couldn’t eat the rice and beans because of gluten. I ended up getting to eat boiled shrimp for $30.00. This used to be our families favorite restaurant, I won’t be back.

Sure it's touristy, but on a nice day the views are pretty and the seafood is very fresh. My group was seated at a corner table by a huge window which offered us views of docked boats and the Golden Gate Bridge.Rockin' Baja Lobster - Old Town

A go to place for me in San Diego. Very friendly and efficient staff made decision to grab early preflight meal a great choice. Asked for seat at the bar and service from staff was quick and professional. Blackened Fish Tacos were excellent!

Taco Tuesday deals run all day so we decided on this place over others in the old town, where deals only start post 3, 4pm. There were four specials (all $3 except one was $2), some drink specials and an ample salsa bar with chips. As a seafood place, the blackened fish taco certainly stood out most.

Amazing food and wasn't as packed the night I went. I had so much food, yet still wanted more. The beer mug that they gave me was massive. Overall, I would recommend this establishment to those who are into Baja, Mx style cuisine.

Delicious fish tacos, lobster, and mexican style corn on the cob. They were amazing by making the happy hour tacos gluten free for me at no extra charge. Margaritas are good but I would recommend asking for slightly less sweet.

Beautiful set up! This place feels like you crossed the border and stepped right into baja. Great drinks, huge margaritas and their salsa bar is out of this world with about 12 different salsas and dips to choose from. Highly recommend the tequila lime shrimp.

Food is good and service is good and fast. The servers are nice and friendly. The tortilla chip bar is awesome all you can eat with taste hot or mild sauces/salsa.

First meal in a restaurant since COVID-19 closed everything down. Lobster platter big enough two - amazing!!

I come to this special place every couple of days since I love the ambiance that is part of this restaurant. The crew is awfuly helpful and professional. The service is pretty quick. Not to mention, the food you get is perfect. I ate there many times and I was always pleased. The expense is reasobable. I highly suggest this restaurant to my friends and family.

The name pretty much says it.... It Rocks... and they have Lobster.... Great find while we spent a weekend in San Diego

Absolutely fantastic experience. I would give them 6 stars if I could! The atmosphere is great, and the service is very friendly and fast. We had the ceviche as an appetizer and it was amazing. Then I had the epic burrito with impossible meet, and it was truly exceptional. My daughter had the tacos with impossible meet and it was also very good. My wife had the lobster tacos which were delicious. The margarita was also tasty! Highly recommended.

Was the best place ive eaten in so long. The SEAFOOD ENCHILADAS are to DIE for. I can't stop thinking g of them.Has its own parking lot. 10 different kinds of salsa !!! Go there now

Nice festive place in old town, plenty of space and very friendly staff. Good drinks and food during happy hour. Plenty of space to kick your heels up and stay for a while, or wrap up and get something quick. Highly recommended if you are in Old Town.

First post lockdown meal. I must say I was quite impressed. We had to scan a qr code for the menu and sanitize your hands before going in the restaurant. Loads of outdoor seating. Food was good, but just so nice to be out again

You would think that with the word "lobster" actually in the name of the restaurant that they would know how to cook lobster well. Not so! I had the Maine Lobster roll and it was dry, chewy, overcooked and it totally lacked the signature sweetness that you expect from real Maine lobster. This seemed to have some sort of blend of langostino meat, CA spiny lobster and "maybe" some Maine. Maybe... Regardless of what is actually in it, there is no excusing how poorly it was prepared. Lacking that, consider this just a run of the mill Mexican restaurant.

This spot is legit. 👌 Great food & great service! It's walking distance in Old Town with a free lot nearby. This came with rice & beans that I hardly touched bc this bucket was so filling. I opted to upgrade the corn to the Mexican street corn that is made just like an elote on the cob. They also have a free chip & salsa bar where the chips are under a heat lamp. They provide little containers for different salsas, extra lemons, bean salads etc.. huge variety. I highly recommend the pineapple mango salsa. It was.. probably the best thing I've ever had. I ate it with the chips & also added it to my crab, lobster & shrimp tacos. Oh! Forgot to mention they give you warm tortillas 😋 the Margarita was pretty good too. The live music was super fun. Overall.. this is definitely a spot worth trying. You will not regret it. When I'm back in San Diego in a few months, I'll definitely be back.

Just had a birthday dinner for my wife here. We are visiting from Dallas. food was fantastic and generous portions! Super service tonight! Waiter was very attentive and the manager came by to check on us too. Thanks for making tonight a delightful evening RBL!

Server Stephanie was great, but food was a huge disappointment for the flavor and price. We came from Albuquerque and have had better seafood in the desert. Very disappointed. The online menu listed several items that were not on this menu here. I mean no shrimp cocktail, so sad.

Great food!Nice and cozy but modern. They have everything that suits your needs. And to mention free chips and salsa 😁 service there was great.

Food was great, we got the Baja bucket and lobster bites. Drinks were great too, I got the cilantro lime margarita and my wife got the blood orange one. (They are part of the November margarita special.) My wife really liked my cilantro lime margarita so much she commandeered it and gave me hers. If I could give this place a half star more I would.

This was my first time visiting as a co- worker recommended it. So glad we went. The food is amazing and the ambience added to the food.Our waiter made great recommendations and service was outstanding. Great prices as well. We got there before the early dinner crowd so parking was GOOD. Will definitely return on my next visit to the area

Family liked this place. Besides the flies buzzing around this place was good. Family enjoyed their food. I on the other hand ordered the fish and chips. Didn't really enjoy it though. I thought it was a little too plain. Cooked well but NO flavor what so ever. Had to add plenty of Tartar sauce to somewhat enjoy what I was eating. Sweet tea was a plus with a squeeze of lemon.
